heart-wrenching.... || Back to top, baby.

I've always thought that I was the sort of person that would be able to take gory scenes.. today proved that I couldn't, probably also said something about whether I'd be able to actually work at the SPCA...

As usual, went with my family to pick my granddad up for breakfast this morning.. after picking him up and while driving out of the estate, I saw something that I'd liken to a fish out of water in the middle of the road... Since i couldn't make out what it was i scrutinized it a little longer...

i totally wish i didn't do that.

The thing which i thought was probably a fish, was a kitten. and because it looked so strange, my thought process of figuring out what was going on was really slow.. then it hit me...

The kitten was writhing in pain. That really broke my heart when i realized that it was probably run over by a car. My sister, who was driving, was dumbfounded as well so she just paused at the side of the road cos it wasn't easy to navigate around without hitting the kitten.

You wouldn't believe what happened next.

Cos we paused at the side of the road, the cars behind just overtook us cos they didn't know wats going on either... the first car that passed dodged the poor kitten... but the next car was going so fast it just rolled over the kitten again.. this time rendering it motionless and dead.

I guess in a morbid way the fast car was doing the kitten a favour cos i cannot for the life of my imagine the pain that the little thing was going through! after that we just carried on with our morning normally cos we had stuff to do and all that.. but after i came back tonight i found myself thinking of the kitten again.... utterly traumatized...

What would you have done if u'd seen something like that? Ideas would be good cos if I saw something like that again chances are I'd probably want to do something useful instead of just grabbing my mom's arm.
