I was browsing around stuff that happened today in history and was amused to know that in 1895, Frederick E. Blaisdell patented the paper pencil -- a paper-wrapped pencil with a string for revealing more lead. Thats pretty cool =)

That aside, would like to thank...

my family for surprising me with my first gift before work and also the pleasant dinner just now

the office girls for their gift (i am using the idevil!), and jac for making sure that i'd be surprised first thing in the morning =D

winnie & shuwen for the pleasant dinner last night

ziyi for the pleasant dinner that we'd be having tmr

everybody for their wonderful wishes =) each wish made me more grateful for the friends that i have

I would also like to take today to pay a little tribute to a relative that passed on this morning... a jovial and optimistic man that i'd only met twice in my life. even though my contact with him was minimal, i still have a very vivid memory of when i met him in primary 1. his headstrong personality was especially endearing and i sincerely hope that he'd left us with no worries. we'll miss you.........
