it was my mom's birthday last night! pretty much a riot went on.. everybody seemed to have had a lot of fun plus my cousin was really entertaining with all his antics that kinda catch u by surprise.. it was really nice having my extended family (maternal & paternal) all in the same room =) and my grandparents seemed to have enjoyed the whole "festive-ness" of last night's affair and i think its really great for them to get in the swing of things once in a while. so everybody had fun and my mom was happy (thats the most important!)

we had Buddha Jump Over The Wall.. i don't have any conscious memory of eating this.. so it was a nice surprise to learn about how they serve this dish! it actually comes in 3 rounds..

the first bowl contains shark's fin, abalone and dried scallops:the next bowl contained sea cucumber and i think fish stomach.. eh. if i knew it was fish stomach before i put it in my mouth i probably wouldn't have eaten it.. but it was really not bad!
The last bowl had chicken and fish maw.. also not bad la heheh.... good food really makes me a happy camper!
